Disappointing game, compensating post-game, and a little randomness thrown into the mix

As a UT alumni, I was more than excited for the game last night.  Originally, it was supposed to be Jenn and I going to OTW, hanging with our fav bartender, and rooting on the Longhorns.  However, J didn’t feel well, so I ended up going to BK to watch it with one of my bff’s and his boyfriend.  A bottle of wine and lots of cheering later, we realized it was a lost cause and threw in the towel.  It was nearly midnight, so I went to catch the train back to my ‘hood, rather than stay there for the night.  On my drunken ride home, I kept debating whether or not I should stop at OTW and say hi to H.  I got to W 4th, decided I should just go home instead… all of the sudden, I see a guy staring at me as I cross MacDougal.  Not in a creepy way, or checking me out, just looking.  As I crossed the street and got close to him, he said-

him: hey, are you from east TX?

me: no… well I’m from TX, but not east

him: You look so familiar… where did you go to school?

me: UT, but I’m originally from Pville

him: That’s it!  I worked with you one summer. Bill, and you’re *******?

me: Oh WOW!

… and convo went from there.  Holy shit- did I really just run into another Texan, whom I hadn’t seen in years, in the Village?  I love how small the world is sometimes.  At any rate, we stood and talked for a while.  I’m not sure if he could tell how tipsy I was, not that it really matters anyways.  I think he felt a little pervy when he asked how old I was the summer we worked together and I replied “17”.  He’s probably mid-30’s at this point, not sure.  Long story short, he works in SoHo on occasion and asked if we could get dinner sometime.  I got the feeling that he was asking on a platonic level, so I said yes and we exchanged phone numbers.  After saying bye, I decided that my run-in with him was a good omen of what might come if I went to the bar.

I re-routed, pulled out my ID, and went into OTW.  I sat down at the bar, and was greeted with a beer and shot less than a minute later.  An annoying guy to the left of me began a heartfelt debate with H about the football game, which I listened to for a good bit, then mentally checked out.  A guy sits down to the right of me and starts chatting me up.  He was nice enough, but not very cute.  He asked for my phone number, so he could take me to dinner sometime, and instead I gave him my email.  Seemed like a better alternative at the time.  Then, I notice a tall blonde looking towards me.  Our eyes met and he broke out into a grin, revealing his dimples.  *sigh*  In recent months I’ve realized how drawn I am to them… Anyways, he comes over and introduces himself, sits down, and conversation began.  He’s 26, an accountant, went to Rutgers (I surprised myself and said “Oh yeah, in New Brunswick, right?”  I had no idea I’d been carrying that information in my back pocket, obviously saving it for a night like last night), and works on the Upper West Side.  We sat and talked for quite a while, then at 2:30ish I decided it was time to go home and somehow invited him back with me.

As we stepped outside he asked if we should grab a cab, and I said “no, I live two blocks THAT way”… a group of guys who overheard and one of them shouted “Yeah man, that’s EXACTLY what you want to hear.  She only lives 2 blocks away!” Haha, nice.  We walked into my building, climbed the horrendous 6 flights of stairs, and I gave him the grand tour.  Said tour involved the kitchen, bathroom, and the grand finale, my bedroom.  We immediately started an intense make out session, culminating in more than half of our clothing articles off.  He had a niiiice body, most likely even more glorified due to the fact that I hadn’t had a half-naked man in my bed since the end of November.  He went down on me (and did a great job of it), I went down on him, and that’s where it stopped, due to the lack of condoms.  At this point, it was around 4:00 and he had to be to work at 8:00, so we exchanged numbers, he took off, and I happily fell asleep…

Looks like I won’t be hibernating this Winter after all.
